My name is Cataleya, and I am an artist. Art to me became a source of expression from a very young age, attending an art focused elementary school and Puerto Rican culture consuming my being through music, art, community, beliefs and values, art was always the unifying factor; so to me art was inherited. This passion has continuously followed me all of my life, where today I study Fashion Design as well Merchandising at Dominican University. My intentions with my work is to always invoke strong emotions, especially with work that bring awareness to social injustices or highlight the life experience. With my love for details, boundlessness, and creativity I aspire to be a creative director as well as a stylist in the future to come.
