My name is Madelyn Carrera, and I am a fashion designer—more specifically, a fashion illustrator. Currently, I am interning, assisting with envisioning dress and suit designs as well as constructing those garments. In creating this collection, I challenged myself to work with delicate, weightless fabrics and experiment with layering to evoke a whimsical, dreamlike effect. I don’t have a specific inspiration or connection behind this collection; rather, I was keen to explore what could emerge purely from my imagination and efforts, seeing what might manifest into the world.
