Hi, my name is Natalie Mixon, and I am a fashion designer specializing in men's formalwear. My work is rooted in storytelling, liberation, and cultural pride, drawing inspiration from my African American and Mexican American heritage. Growing up in Chicago, surrounded by streetwear, artistic expression, and resilience, shaped my aesthetic and mission to honor the lived experiences of my community through design. 

I study fashion design at Dominican University, where I focus on garment construction and textile design while exploring how fashion can challenge systemic barriers and celebrate joy within the diaspora. In addition to design, I have a background in editorial hair and makeup from working behind the scenes at Chicago fashion shows, allowing me to merge fashion and beauty into a unified creative vision. 

 I am also an aspiring fashion design instructor with a passion for mentorship, student engagement, and cultivating creative voices.
